Theater Etiquette

Attending a performance is a privilege and it is important to show respect to both the performers and to the other patrons who wish to enjoy the performance.

Arrive on time, generally 15 minutes early.

Say "excuse me" when you pass in front of people who are seated to get to your seat. Turn your face toward the people you are passing.  How else could they hear you say, "Please excuse me."

Do Not Talk during the performance.  Even if you think you are whispering, you are probably speaking loudly enough for those around you to hear.  Hold your thoughts until intermission or after the performance or movie.

Candy wrappers should be opened before the show begins.  They can be noisy to open and you might miss the best line of show!

Cell phones quiet and dark please.
The back light can be just as disrupting to your neighbor as the ring tone.

Enjoy the Show.
